Who We Are
MSF is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare in over 70 countries. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF has been working in India since 1999, providing free-of-charge essential healthcare in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Manipur. MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
Our primary focus is on reaching people in remote areas who lack access to healthcare. We also provide specialized care for individuals affected by HIV, hepatitis C, tuberculosis, and drug-resistant tuberculosis (DRTB). Additionally, we offer treatments and support to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in Delhi In Jammu and Kashmir, we address the mental health needs of the population. We also respond to natural disasters and other emergencies, providing medical aid and relief services. Advocacy for the development of more effective and affordable medicines to improve treatment accessibility is another crucial aspect of our work in India.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their location or circumstances, has access to essential healthcare. By providing free-of-charge services and advocating for improved treatment options, we strive to make a difference in the lives of people in need throughout India.

Raising Funds For
As an organization we are committed to making a meaningful impact in our community to sustain our efforts. Our supporters believe in our mission to provide medical aid to those in need. We rely on the regular donations of our 7 million individual donors, who contribute 85-90% of the funds we raise. The remaining funds are contributed by foundations, major donors, and corporations.Through these donations, we are able to reach vulnerable communities without access to primary healthcare, providing lifesaving interventions on a daily basis. All the funds we raise, pooled together and disbursed according to the needs determined by our organization. By receiving unearmarked donations, we are able to maintain our independence and respond to areas with the greatest need. The common pool allows us to respond swiftly and effectively to provide essential resources for healthcare facilities. By having the flexibility to allocate funds based on emerging needs, we believe that unremarked donations have the greatest impact. The funds we receive from TMM, they will be dedicated to our life-saving work and humanitarian work in India.
