Raising Funds For
We need support for our On-Site First Aid Programme. Trained on-site field personnel/volunteers and WSD veterinarians attend to first-aid cases from the calls that are received on WSD's help-line.
Street dogs and cats are treated for maggot wounds, cuts, bites and skin problems. Veterinarians also treat clinical cases. WSD currently covers Cuffe Parade to Mahim/Sion and co-ordinates with other NGO's for areas not
covered by us. We reach out to 1000 street animals per month through this programme. The objective of this programme is to proactively provide basic on-site medical aid to street animals in distress. The nature of intervention depends on the type of case received. The intervention covers cases with animals having skin problems, wounds, cuts, bites, bruises, maggot wound, ear and eye infections and small injuries.
