Who We Are
ISC, with a legacy spanning over five decades, is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all children, with a comprehensive focus on education, healthcare, nutrition, and socio-emotional well-being. In addition, our initiatives extend to empowering women by enhancing their skills and employability to meet the demands of the job market.
One of our flagship programs, Antar Bharti Balgram, represents a family-based child care and holistic development initiative aimed at children facing challenging circumstances. We provide age and grade-appropriate formal education through the ISC Antar Bharti Balgram School located in Lonavla. Simultaneously, our Aakar program delivers informal support classes specially designed for the children of brick-kiln workers in Pune.
Recognizing the pivotal role of women in communities, ISC spearheads a community-based women empowerment endeavor. This initiative is dedicated to nurturing and supporting financial independence and sustainability among women in these communities.
Moreover, we take a comprehensive approach to child development with our Sarathi program. Sarathi is a quality settlement program designed to guide ISC children through the critical transition from childhood to adulthood. It encompasses eight essential domains, including health, living skills, learning, interpersonal skills, emotional well-being, identity and legal awareness, financial independence, and career progression.
Through these multifaceted programs, ISC remains steadfast in its mission to create a more equitable and empowered society by addressing the diverse needs of children and women in marginalized communities.
