A healthy, nourished body paves way for a healthy mind; empowering society as a whole. The promotion of integrated growth, ending the downward spiral of poverty, and developing a better and more affluent society all depend on acknowledging and tackling the nexus of nutrition, health, and education. Children’s general well-being and capacity to participate successfully in the school environment might be negatively impacted by poor health and nutritional status.
Akshaya Patra’s School Meal Program has the potential to alleviate the current predicament by giving children more wholesome, nutrient-dense meals that helps in combating the nutrition burdens and strengthening the potential and capacity of these young minds to learn and build a better future for themselves.
The funds raised through this initiative will be utilized to provide Mid-Day meals to children from Government and Government aided schools in India with the commitment to,
• Provide food for children from marginalized communities
• Encouraging children, belonging to disadvantaged sections, to attend school more regularly and boost concentration
• Enhance the nutrition status of the children
• Reduce children's dropout rate in schools
