Given that many expectant mothers attend village health camps without these tests, Khushi Baby plans a ground-breaking study to advance smartphone-based anemia detection. Smartphone usage is increasing in India, with government Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) already employing apps for antenatal care. The study's goal is to create a precise machine learning model classifying moderate maternal anemia via smartphone images of eyes and tongues. This research provides a cost-effective solution for the Indian public health system, aligning with the rise in smartphone adoption among community health workers.
