MelJol's Akshar Mitra Program address the Fundamental literacy and numeracy needs of children - language development (decoding, reading fluency, writing, reading comprehension) and understanding shapes, numbers and operations on numbers, etc.
Key objectives of program: To achieve fundamental literacy and numeracy in the children age 6 - 8 years, to create an engaging reading, environmental in school and communities and to create peer educators in school and villages.
