Fight Against COVID-19 - UWM's COVID-19 Response

India is currently witnessing the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our country recorded 402,014 new Covid cases on 30th April, pushing the caseload to over 19 million. This is the second-highest in the world.

As the country battles to control the resurgence, many hospitals are unable to handle the relentless inflow of patients whilst also running short of beds, oxygen and other medical equipment. Marginalized communities too are once again facing economic repercussions, due to the imposition on lockdown, curfews and restrictions in movement

United Way Mumbai has been actively responding to the pandemic since its onset in India. A snapshot of our Covid-19 response efforts in 2020 is given below.

We are partnering with various stakeholders (companies, organisations and the community) to actively respond to the pandemic In light of the current situation and impending crisis. We request your support once again for our hospitals, frontline workers and marginalized communities. All donations received in India are eligible for tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, India.
