Founded in 2004 on core values of Dignity, Inclusion & Equality, MANAV Foundation has been unwavering in its mission to achieve societal inclusion for the Mentally Ill. Despite facing the uphill struggle of surviving as a Non-Profit, we've consistently provided psychosocial rehabilitation, therapy, and counseling for adults grappling with Mental Illness.
The main challenge we confront revolves around establishing a consistent and reliable source of funds. From therapeutic activities to human resources, administrative demands, raw materials, medical resources, publicity, and outreach activities – our expenses are vast and recurring.
Surviving as a Non-Profit heavily reliant on donations has brought us to moments of uncertainty, where we wonder when the funds might run out, jeopardizing our ability to operate another day of crucial rehabilitation services for our clients.
Nevertheless, not a single day has passed where MANAV Foundation ceased providing care to those dependent on us. Even through the disruptive challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic that severely impacted many NGOs, we have persevered, survived, and remained resilient.
Looking ahead, our dedication to the fight against Mental Illness has not waned. The pandemic has only underscored the pressing need for our services today, inspiring us to move to a new, highly functional Rehabilitation Centre in Lower Parel. Doing so has only been possible through the bottomless compassion of Smt. Suraj and Shri Vallabh Bhansali.
While our journey thus far has been propelled by the goodness of people like Smt. Suraj and Shri Vallabh Bhansali, and countless others worldwide, setting up this Rehabilitation Centre has incurred a substantial cost of Rs. 10 lakh.
At this extremely crucial juncture, we appeal to your humanity to financially support us so that we can keep our belief alive and focus on what we do best - helping others.
