Married at an early age to someone where I had no choice or opinion was tough. However, the continued physical and economic violence led me to leave my married home and come to Mumbai hoping for a better life. Growing up, running always gave me happiness. But being a woman, I never expreiFrom childhood itself running gave me happiness. I used to take part in running competitions in my village which boosted my morale. However, I never thought I could pick up my passion once again. This is the first time I am participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon to experience how it is to take part in such a grand event, which will eventually build my confidence. I along with other women of Urja are participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024 and look forward to your support. I would really appreciate it if I can garner your support so that I and many young women like myself can receive the support, and take steps to stand up for ourselves in the face of injustice and inequality.
