All life is a run, and we are all marathoners. I use running as a means to stay fit, agile and cheerful. But that's personal. Marathoners have a larger purpose. For me running is also a way to inspire other women to run -- individuals who would want to do something for themselves but who would otherwise watch life slip past. When I started, I ran for myself -- to do something that was exclusively for me. But I must say that running for a purpose has brought me far greater joy than running for myself.
Running has taught me life lessons I would have otherwise missed. Like being consistent, not giving up easily. I am my own competitor and I am my own judge. I have learned that to stay in the run, is the surest way to complete it.
