It may seem that we live in a society where children are relatively safe, however what we do not know is that Child Sexual Abuse is very common and it is growing day by day. According to a study conducted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, 1 in 2 children in India are sexually abused and 53.22% of all children in our country experience one or more forms of sexual abuse. This does not end here, most of these cases are either not reported or no one takes action on this, as most of the citizens in our nation have a lot of stigma about sexual abuse. Even if these cases do get reported and some action is taken, the victims do not get proper counselling. In order to give the victims good counselling and to eradicate such things from happening , I am collaborating with the HEAL Foundation to fight against Child Sexual Abuse by collecting money which will go to help this cause. I will also be running in the TATA Mumbai Marathon 2019 to create awareness about this. I would like to kindly request you to help me achieve this goal by donating some money.
