Child abuse is one of the most widespread problems in India. In India a child is sexually abused every 15 minutes according to the latest government figures. What is child abuse? Child abuse is physical, sexual, or psychological maltreatment of a child. In India 1 in every 2 children is abused. There have been more than 48,000 child rape cases between 2001 and 2011 and we saw an increase of 336% of child rape cases from 2001(2,133 cases) to 2011(7,122 cases). Together we must do anything to try and stop child abuse and eradicate this epidemic as not only can it affect us our friends our family but can also largely affect our nation in the future. India is a developing country and needs to focus on child development of healthier minds without the fear of abuse.
