Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024

World For All was founded in 2009, keeping in mind the limitations and challenges faced by our current system, specifically with a focus on stray animal adoptions. Since its inception, WFA has organized over 8,000 stray animal adoptions, attended to over 15,000 emergency scenarios, have carried out more than 9,000 sterilizations of canines and felines and have instilled a sense of compassion for 45,000 children. There are no facilities or services in place for non-sick street animals (sterilized or otherwise) to protect or provide for them. WFA works towards homing/rehabilitating these street animals, with a special focus on infant and old/disabled animals. Currently WFA carries out 400 adoptions/year. Stray pups and kittens are rescued and taken for medical check ups. The animal is kept in foster care while WFA works on the adoption, if healthy or nurses the animal back to health until it is ready for his/her home. WFA places these animals in foster care to ensure they receive the individual love, are and attention of a family to be ready for a forever home. Only healthy animals are up for adoption. A strict procedure follows with house checks and identity proofs. Updates from the family are sought on a regular basis post adoption. WFA strives to achieve more than 650 adoptions in the year 2017-18 through general adoptions and adoption camps. Also introducing conducting of seminars and workshops for families, societies and buildings to encourage Indian breed adoptions.

About Me
Hi! I'm Taaraksh Chawla. Im a 13 year old who studies in JNS. I ran this marathon last year to help animals as I truly believe that it is a world for all! I strongly believe that all living beings are equal and need help, the same way we help fellow humans. Recently, I fractured my leg and was down with a plaster cast for more than 6 weeks. The care and support of family and friends during those 6 weeks, and the ongoing rehab process has been overwhelming. But it just makes me stop and ponder - what do animals with injuries and illness go through? Who helps them? Are we human enough to take care of God's wonderful creations. This year, as I recover from my injury, I plan to run for this cause with a renewed determination.
