Girls in under-resourced schools face many challenges. One of the biggest is the stigma attached to menstrual hygiene and the unavailability of sanitary pads. We have witnessed numerous girls dropping out of school for these reasons as part of work with schools. In some cases, their learning gets severely hampered due to this. Through this fundraiser, we- Rhea, Kashish, Kavita, Renuka, Rakesh, and Sreya- aim to raise funds for making low-cost, high-quality sanitary products accessible to girls in these schools. This also helps provide business opportunities to women’s groups making such pads. If you feel just as passionately about this cause and have been unsure how to help, this is your chance!
