Every year we raise funds by running for Ishya Vidhya at the Mumbai Marathon. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, more so for these children in rural India. They need support now more than ever, to just continue their education. Isha Vidhya runs 9 schools in Tamil Nadu and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. 60% of them are supported through scholarships. Besides they have also adopted 26 Govt. schools impacting over 8,800 students and 50 teachers in TN. The schools continue to incur operating expenses - towards salaries of staff and teachers, infrastructure costs to enable teachers to record their video lessons, and support additional students with scholarships. Isha Vidhya students have been doing remarkably well in their board exams with 100% pass results every year and stupendous performance by a few.
