This field of work has been my passion for a long time and to be involved in the process of raising money for their projects is an opportunity I am grateful for. War Wounded Foundation is the organization whose aim is to provide assistance and support to the defense personnel in India who, without thinking of themselves and their families, stay at the border and protect us, no mater the circumstances. They organization helps in making them financially independent and leading a good life. This organization majorly focuses on the personnel who are from rural areas and wish to return to their roots once they retire from their service.
Action Against Hunger works on an ignored problem in today's world - Malnutrition. They not only deal with this medical issue, but also provide residence for the families of the children who are getting treatment. While reading about their contribution, I learnt about a new kind of food product called 'Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Foods' which is used for children who have severe acute malnutrition. They also treat the children at home instead of taking them into the centre. Lastly, they also train hospital staff and community workers so they can help the children deal with this issue.
Myna Mahila Foundation deals with the challenges of malnutrition by empowering women to speak about this issue out loud. They employ urban slum women to make affordable sanitary napkins, sell them in their community, improve menstrual hygiene and increase employment.
