‘CanKids…KidsCan’ is an organization that works towards providing best standards of treatment care and support services for children with cancer and their families from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and after into survivorship on the one hand and palliative care, terminal and bereavement support on the other. The organization aims to provide holistic support to families of children with cancer under its signature model, the YANA – You are not Alone Program that is delivered through CanKids Hospital Support Units and CanKids Care Centres, at hospitals where children and being treated for cancer. While I have had a fortunate life for as long as I can remember, that cannot be said about everybody. Hence, I think it is not only my privilege, but also my responsibility to give back to the community as much as I can. These kids are warriors. They have fought through and survived cancer.
