I am a very passionate football fan. I absolutely love playing the sport and cherish watching the European football games on weekends with my friends. I got acquainted with OSCAR Foundation through my school and their work in the Ambedkar Nagar slum community in Cuffe Parade. I loved their unique concept of using football as a medium to educate young children from the slums. This is an effective format for education because it is very engaging and it keeps everyone attentive. Also, playing football is fun so, this method is in effect "Fun With Learning." I think for children (Such as myself), a traditional classroom format is very boring. The effects of such kinds of learning I feel are more perpetual and remain with children for a longer time.. I feel supporting a non-profit that works on my passion of football and combining it with such an important task as education is a perfect medley. I would really hope that you support this cause so that we can have a lot more slum children get a school education and hopefully break out of the cycle of poverty. that they. find themselves into.
