Hello! I am raising funds for the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society (PDMDS), and would love your support. Walking without falling, writing without tremors, the ease of our movements - these are the simple things we take for granted. When a person is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, they often lose control over their movements and cognitive abilities. The tremors, instability, rigidity, slow movements, speech difficulties and memory issues that characterise this condition can make the simplest things in life a challenge for them. This takes a huge toll on them and their caregivers.
PDMDS is committed to improving the lives of people with Parkinson's and their families, through providing free services like support groups, physiotherapy, speech therapy, counselling and home visits. In addition to this, PDMDS also provides assistive aids and Parkinson’s medications to underprivileged patients.
Donations received by PDMDS are used as a corpus fund, which contributes to maintaining the Parkinson’s centers, patients' access to Parkinson’s medications and assistive aids, and organisation of other activities for the welfare and rehabilitation of people with this debilitating disease.
I hope you will join me in helping these patients to move better, smile bigger, and live happier.
