Hi, my name is Saanya Kedia and I am raising money for gender equality. As a female I am lucky to be born into a family where I get the same opportunities as my brothers. Many young women do not have this opportunity and are made to believe the only thing they are worth is their ability to have children and look after the house. Even when they go into the work force they are generally not paid the same amount a man gets for the same job. Further they face discrimination and are not given the same respect as men. They are often overlooked for jobs they are highly qualified simply because of their gender. I hope to raise money to help create awareness of this inequality and hopefully create a world where people are given respect based on their abilities.
