About Me

I, Rahul Gaddipati, am excited to run the Mumbai Half Marathon this year, not just as a personal milestone but as an opportunity to create meaningful impact. I am dedicating my run to fundraising in support of the NGOs partnered with the Tata Mumbai Marathon, organisations that work tirelessly across education, health, community development, and empowerment.

By running and raising funds, I hope to contribute to causes that uplift communities, create opportunities, and bring lasting positive change. This journey is not only about completing 21 kilometres—it’s about helping those who need it the most and joining hands with thousands of people running for a better tomorrow.

I look forward to your support and encouragement as I take on this challenge for a purpose bigger than myself.

Appeal

I chose to support Let’s READ because their mission is simple, powerful, and deeply transformative. They work to bring the joy of reading to children from marginalized communities—children who often grow up without access to books, stories, or nurturing reading spaces.

Here’s why this cause matters to me:

1. Books change lives
A single book can spark imagination, build confidence, and expose a child to ideas and possibilities far beyond their surroundings. Let’s READ ensures that every child, regardless of background, gets that chance.

2. Early reading builds lifelong skills
Children who read regularly develop stronger language skills, better comprehension, and improved academic performance. By giving them books early, we’re giving them a foundation that lasts a lifetime.

3. Small contributions create big impact
With Let’s READ, even a modest donation goes a long way:
• Rs. 500 gives a set of 5 books to one child
• Rs. 15,000 sets up a mini library of 125 books
It’s one of the few causes where the impact is immediate, tangible, and long-lasting.

4. They focus on joyful learning, not just literacy
Let’s READ doesn’t just distribute books—they cultivate a genuine love for reading. Their approach is child-centric, fun, and designed to keep kids engaged and excited.

5. Empowering children through stories
Stories build empathy, broaden perspectives, and give children the courage to dream bigger. In communities where opportunities are scarce, books become a bridge to hope.
