Fund Utilization in 2024

Total funds raised in 2024 - INR 2608196
Project NameHolistic Care for Children with Cancer
Amount Utilized (INR)2608196
Project DescriptionProject Name: Holistic care for children with cancer and their families through Cankids Hospital Support Unit
(CHSU) Hospital Partnerships
Issue:
 Worldwide 400,000 children (0-19 years) have cancer each year. Only 20% of the children with
cancer live-in high-income countries. Survival rates are 80% and more.
 80% of children with cancer live in low middle-income countries. India alone accounts for over
76000 children with cancer (26%). Survival rates are 20 – 30% as more than 60% children with
cancer are not making it to a cancer center at all.
 Poor Outcomes are due to lack of information, awareness and stigma, poor access to care,
inadequate childhood cancer treating centres, shortage of well-trained health care
professionals and workers, quality of treatment and care, high cost of treatment and poor
supportive care and support.
This year we are raising much needed funds for holistic care and support for children reaching our partnering
treating centers. We are supporting 15000 children across our 141 partnering center CHSU projects. 30% of
the 141 hospitals we partner with have already used up most of their annual budgets of support. Our aim is to
ensure no child suffers want of treatment, care and support for lack of finance.
