About Me

I am Priyanka Nighot — a girl who chose to work in the development sector with one goal: to create a society where every child and youth gets all the opportunities they deserve. Growing up in a slum, I have seen the struggles of underprivileged families and first-generation learners. That experience drives me to work for change and help others build a better future.

Dear Friends, This year at the Tata Mumbai Marathon, I am privileged to support 2 outstanding NGOs, Vipla Foundation and Antarang Foundation.

Vipla Foundation - Vipla Foundation works with underprivileged children and women, providing early intervention, education support, and protection from violence. Through programs like Dhvani, they identify children with hearing loss, provide screening, hearing aids, therapy, and even cochlear implants, helping them lead fulfilling, inclusive lives.

Meet Aarav – A Story of Hope
Aarav was born into a loving family in a small, underprivileged community. But from the very beginning, something was different. He didn’t respond to his mother’s lullabies, or the joyful claps of his siblings. His parents, with no knowledge of hearing loss, assumed he was simply quiet.
It wasn’t until he was 2 years old that a teacher noticed Aarav struggled to respond in class. That’s when Aarav met Vipla Foundation. Through our early hearing screening, we discovered that Aarav had profound hearing loss since birth.
Because of early intervention, Aarav now has access to hearing aids, speech therapy, and in cases like his, cochlear implant surgery – treatments that open doors to a world of sound, learning, and social connection.
Imagine the first time Aarav heard his mother call his name or the laughter of children around him. Moments that many take for granted, but for Aarav, they were a miracle.


Antarang Foundation -
I still remember my first day at Antarang Foundation. As a student from a modest background, I had dreams with zero clarity on how to achieve them. Antarang didn’t just teach me skills—they opened doors to opportunities, showed me how to navigate the professional world, and helped me build the confidence that my background wouldn’t limit my future.

Today, I am proud to be an alumnus of Antarang, carrying forward the lessons I learned. But there are many young people like me with potential, they have dreams but need guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to reach them - just like I did!
