Artscape (est. 2016) is a non-governmental organization with a primary focus on using expressive arts therapy for the purpose of holistic well-being, self-exploration and personal development. Our vision is to encourage an approach to life that considers multidimensional aspects of wellness.

Expressive Arts Therapy combines psychology and creative art techniques such as music, body movement, drama, art, meditation, journaling, etc. to promote emotional growth and healing. It emphasizes the creative process over the product to promote healing and the realization of one’s potential.

Appeal

Artscape largely works with individuals belonging to underserved communities and from low-resource settings. Systemic barriers such as poverty, social stigma and a lack of education prevent a large part of the population from accessing mental health information and services.

We have 2 core programs which can greatly benefit from the funding received:

(a) Care for Cancer: A mental health intervention within the cancer care ecosystem, which works with patients, survivors, caregivers and healthcare providers.

(b) Beyond Academics: A program to inculcate life skills, social-emotional learning and value education among disadvantaged youth.

The programs are delivered largely pro-bono and funded through external grants. Your donation will not only help us scale-up our programs, but also to ensure that they remain accessible to those in need of mental health support.
