Grassroots Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization working to uplift underprivileged communities in the urban slums of Mumbai and across India. Founded by Mrs. Sufiya Abdul Wahid Khan, the Foundation aims to build self-sustainable communities through initiatives focused on education, women’s empowerment, healthcare, nutrition, environmental sustainability, and poverty alleviation.

Through our women-run Indian Glory English School, we provide affordable, quality education to children from economically weaker families. We also help school dropouts and youth continue their education and develop employable skills.

To promote women’s empowerment, we organize livelihood training programs, awareness sessions, and health initiatives that help women gain confidence and financial independence.

Our hunger and poverty relief efforts include distribution of ration kits, nutritional support, and assistance to vulnerable families. We also undertake tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and environmental awareness programs to encourage community-led climate action.

With a 60% women-led team, Grassroots Foundation is committed to creating inclusive, educated, and empowered communities.
