About Me

I am Mrs. Sufiya Abdul Wahid Khan, an educator with over 25 years of teaching experience, and someone who has always believed in giving back to society. Teaching has not just been my profession, it has been my purpose.
Over the years, I have seen many bright children whose dreams were dimmed by poverty, and that moved me deeply.

In 2021, I founded Grassroots Foundation to turn that pain into purpose to reach those children and families who simply need a helping hand to rise. This is more than an organization to me; it’s a heartfelt mission to bring light, hope, and opportunity where it’s needed most. Every step we take together brings us closer to a world where no child is left behind.

Appeal

Every child deserves a fair chance in life: To learn, To dream and To grow.

But in many underprivileged, below poverty line communities, even the simplest needs like food, shelter, and clothing are still a daily struggle. Education, which is every child’s birthright, becomes a distant hope.

Through Grassroots Foundation, we are trying to change that. One child, one family, one community at a time.
By giving children access to education, nourishment, and care, we are giving them the power to build a better future.

I’m supporting this cause because I believe that when we educate a child, we don’t just change one life, we change generations.
