Indic AI Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act and fully CSR compliant with 12A, 80G, and FCRA certifications. Our mission is to transform disability into distinction by leveraging technology, education, skilling, and healthcare to create equal opportunities for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Our flagship initiative focuses on inclusive education for visually impaired students through digital literacy. In partnership with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Ministry of Social Justice, we equip blind school students with laptops, screen readers (JAWS/NVDA), and accessible e-resources. We have piloted this program in Delhi, Noida, Andhra Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir, enabling students to transition from Braille and scribes to independently writing exams and studying in mainstream schools such as DPS, DAV, and Kendriya Vidyalaya. Many have gone on to secure admissions in IIT, IIIT, Delhi University, and Ashoka University.
Beyond digital literacy, Indic AI supports PwDs with:
Entrance Exam Preparation: Sponsorships and coaching for IIT-JEE, CUET, CLAT, IIM, and DU.
Healthcare Initiatives: Setting up rural eye-care hospitals to prevent avoidable blindness.
Placements & Skilling: Industry-aligned training and inclusive jobs at pay parity in leading companies like Microsoft, EY, PwC, HSBC, and Goldman Sachs.
Appeal
Our vision is to see at least 1% of persons with disabilities (PwDs) in board positions by 2035. The only way to achieve this is by ensuring digital inclusion and mainstreaming PwDs in colleges and private companies. Although the Government of India reserves 5% seats for PwDs in higher education, over half of these seats remain vacant in top institutions due to lack of digital preparedness.
Indic AI seeks your support to change this reality by expanding digital literacy in blind schools across India. Funds raised through the Tata Mumbai Marathon will be used to set up computer labs or provide laptops pre-loaded with assistive technologies (JAWS/NVDA), internet access, and accessible e-resources like Bookshare and Sugam Pustakalaya. Each school will have a dedicated trainer for at least one year, delivering structured modules on computer basics, digital communication, online learning, and assistive technology applications.
We will also train blind school teachers to integrate digital tools into classrooms, ensuring sustainability. Students will gain access to accessible entrance exam coaching, career counselling, and mentoring. College students will benefit from professional skilling in coding, digital marketing, analytics, financial modeling, and AI, supported by placement opportunities through corporate partnerships.
Your support will directly empower blind children to move from Braille to digital independence, reduce dropout rates, and open pathways to inclusive education and aspirational careers.
