Appeal
Kankura Masat Social Welfare Society (KMSWS), a grassroots NGO based in rural South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, appeals for your generous support through the Tata Mumbai Marathon platform. We seek to raise funds to strengthen two critical initiatives: digital education for underprivileged children and mangrove plantation for climate resilience in the Sundarbans.
Many children at our Tiyas School and community learning centres still lack access to basic digital tools. Your contribution will help us purchase two computer systems equipped with learning software and internet access, enabling students to gain digital literacy, attend virtual classes, and enhance their academic performance.
Additionally, we aim to restore degraded mangrove areas in Patharpratima Block of the Sundarbans by planting and nurturing over 1000 mangrove saplings. These efforts will protect vulnerable coastal communities from cyclones and rising sea levels while creating green livelihoods for local youth and women.
Every rupee you donate will directly support education and ecological restoration. With your help, we can empower young minds and protect nature—ensuring a more sustainable and equitable future for our rural communities.
Join us in running for change—run for education, run for the environment, run with KMSWS.
