About Me

Hello, I’m Anupama Easwaran, a Diversity & Inclusion coach, consultant, and proud ally of the transgender community. Over the years, my life’s purpose has been to create spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued. As an advisory board member of the TWEET Foundation, I work closely with the transgender community on their empowerment through skilling, employment, and social acceptance.

My journey as an ally is deeply personal. I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many transgender persons, listening to their stories, celebrating their triumphs, and supporting them through challenges. Whether it was helping raise dry rations and vaccinations for trans people during the pandemic, facilitating national-level transgender job fairs, or simply standing in solidarity, each experience has reinforced my belief that every person deserves dignity and opportunity in life.

While I have diverse interests and hobbies, what truly fuels me is seeing lives transform with a fine blend of compassion, intent and action. This fundraising campaign is an extension of my strong belief. I invite you to join me in supporting TWEET Foundation, so that more transgender persons can live with dignity, find safety, healing, and a path to thrive. Together, we can make, my personal life mantra, “life is beautiful”, a reality for many more.

Appeal

The TWEET Foundation is a grassroots, trans-led NGO in India dedicated to empowering transgender and gender-diverse persons through education, skilling, healthcare access, advocacy, and dignified livelihood opportunities. The Foundation works towards enabling a society where transgender persons can live with dignity, freedom, and equality.

At the heart of this vision are the Garima Greh shelter homes—safe, gender-affirming spaces for transgender and gender diverse individuals who often face rejection and violence at home and from society. These homes provide more than just a roof; they offer holistic support including nutritious meals, healthcare, counselling, legal aid, education, skilling, and pathways to livelihoods.

Each year, the shelter home (Garima Greh) empowers at least 30 transgender persons to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence. As a proud ally and advisory board member of TWEET Foundation, I have seen the difference these shelters make. This fundraising campaign is my way of ensuring more transgender persons find not just shelter, but also acceptance, healing, and a real chance to thrive.
