TWEET Foundation envisions an inclusive society where transgender persons live with dignity, freedom, and equality. Our mission is to empower transgender individuals through holistic support—shelter, healthcare, education, skill development, and advocacy.
Through our Garima Greh shelter homes, we provide safe, gender-affirming spaces for transgender persons in vulnerable situations. The proposed 12-month project aims to rehabilitate and empower a minimum of 30 transgender individuals per shelter annually.
Key components include:
Shelter & Basic Care: Safe housing, nutritious meals, hygiene, and clothing.
Health & Mental Wellbeing: Regular check-ups, counselling, HIV/AIDS prevention, and gender-affirming care referrals.
Education & Livelihood: Life skills, digital literacy, vocational training, job placements, and entrepreneurship support.
Legal Aid: Assistance with identity documentation, legal counsel, and access to entitlements.
Community Building: Peer activities, sensitization workshops, and reintegration support.
By project end, we aim for over 70% of residents to secure legal identity documents and over 60% to achieve sustainable livelihoods. Through strategic partnerships, community outreach, and dedicated support services, this project fosters self-reliance, dignity, and social inclusion for transgender individuals.
