About Me

I am Venkatesh Murthy, Founder and Chief Mentor of Youth for Seva (YFS). For over two decades, my work has been rooted in nurturing volunteerism, strengthening institutions, and enabling individuals and organizations to contribute meaningfully to society. Through mentoring nonprofits, facilitating leadership and training programs, and working closely with volunteers across the country, I have seen the transformative power of collective action.
Among the many causes I engage with, education holds a very special place in my heart. I have witnessed how the right academic support, mentoring, and exposure can completely change the life trajectory of a child from an underserved background. At Youth for Seva, we work closely with government and underprivileged schools to ensure that children are not limited by circumstances but are empowered with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
I am raising funds through the Tata Mumbai Marathon to support Youth for Seva’s education initiatives, which include academic interventions in government schools, scholarships, mentoring, and holistic development programs. These initiatives are volunteer-driven, structured, and focused on creating long-term, sustainable impact rather than short-term relief.
