About Me

I am supporting Kamalini vocational training centre, A Project of Educational and Development Initiatives established in Sohna in 2017, dedicated to empowering women from rural communities through vocational education, life skills, and literacy programs. EDI, promote self-reliance, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods, serving women from over 20 villages within a 10 km radius of our campus.

EDI believes that empowered women are key to thriving families and communities. EDI's vision is to create inclusive societies that enable women to realize their full potential and live with dignity. Kamalini’s mission is to equip women from underserved backgrounds with holistic education, vocational training, and confidence to become agents of positive change in their families and communities.
What Makes Kamalini Different
In rural Haryana, women face social and infrastructural barriers to education and employment. Kamalini bridges this gap by providing free, safe transport and a women-only learning environment equipped with Wi-Fi, laptops, and digital tools. Kamalini's practical, hands-on training programs are regularly updated and supported by personalized mentorship and assessments. With a strong focus on employability, confidence-building, and exposure, Kamalini helps women overcome societal constraints and pursue meaningful, self-reliant lives—empowered, skilled, and ready to shape their own futures.

Appeal

1. Safe and Secure Transportation
A significant barrier to education and development of Employment ready skills in rural Haryana is lack of safe transport. We provide pick up and drop facilities in our own or hired vehicles to our students thus enabling them to reach the institute. Running costs and Maintenance of these vehicles makes up slightly over 10% of our total expenses.

2. Acquire Materials for Skill Development.

to gain practical skills, unlock their potential, and take meaningful steps toward independence and leadership.
