About Me

Hello friends ,

I have been with the British Asian Trust for a couple of years . A few of my colleagues are running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to help protect one of India’s most powerful and vulnerable symbols — the tiger.

The tiger’s future depends on the forests it calls home and the people who share that space every day. When communities are supported and coexistence is possible, tigers can move, hunt, and survive safely in the wild.

By supporting this run, you’re helping safeguard a future where tigers continue to roam India’s forests — not as a memory, but as a living presence. Every step I take is for their survival, and every contribution helps keep the roar alive.

Thank you for being part of this mission! I truly appreciate it !

Appeal

This year, the British Asian Trust team is running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to raise vital funds for one of India’s most urgent conservation needs — protecting our tigers and strengthening the communities who share their forests.

India holds over 70% of the world’s wild tigers, yet their survival remains fragile. Over 95% of their historic range has been lost, and human–wildlife coexistence is now central to their future.

Through our work in the Greater Tadoba Landscape and the Kanha–Pench Corridor, the British Asian Trust supports forest-fringe communities to:

•Protect and restore habitats
•Reduce human–wildlife conflict
•Adopt clean-energy solutions
•Strengthen alternative livelihoods

When communities thrive, forests thrive — and tigers survive.
