About Me
I am Penav Mota, advocate by profession, practicing in criminal litigation. I am running for past 7 years and I am into long distance running. I have done two full marathons, twenty two half marathons and more than ten 10K runs. I am also into swimming and cycling as well.
This year, I would be completing my second Procam Slam and will be running my 3rd full marathon. Im also raising funds this year, to inspire more and more people to run and also make a lasting impact in the community.
Appeal
Hello, I am Adv. Penav Mota, a 100% visually impaired long-distance runner and cyclist.
My running journey began in 2018 — inspired by watching my mother take her first steps into fitness. What started as a 10K run for fun gradually turned into a powerful pursuit of endurance sports. With dedication, professional training, and the constant support of guide runners, I’ve completed over 30 10Ks, 23 half marathons, 2 full marathons, 2 stadium runs, and long-distance cycling events like 200 km and 300 km BRMs.
Running gives me more than just fitness — it gives me mental peace, focus, and purpose. After completing my first Procam Slam, I now aim to finish the second slam in TMM 2026 and am training for a triathlon as well.
This year, as I run the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 and take on the 42.195 km challenge, I am raising funds to support a cause very close to my heart — empowering visually impaired individuals through sport, education, and inclusion.
Your support will help:
- Provide training and accessible infrastructure
- Support guide runners and sports mentors
- Organize inclusive sports programs for the visually impaired
Every step I take in this marathon is a step toward someone else's opportunity.
Join me. Support the cause. Make a difference.
Let’s run Beyond Vision, together.
Warm regards,
Adv. Penav Mota
