About Me
I’m Kabir Shaikh, a visually impaired Accessibility Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services. I am running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to champion access and opportunity for children through inclusive sport—my lived experience keeps me focused on removing barriers. I believe sport reshapes confidence and mobility for young people.
Appeal
Heed India (a trademarked initiative of Samarpan Charitable Trust, registered since 2012) delivers sports, health and education programs for underserved children, having coached about 3,700 students and donated roughly 4,400 books.
The organisation runs athletics, boxing, taekwondo and community health initiatives and stages tournaments that cover travel, food and medical support for participants. Donations fund coaching, equipment, uniforms, events and emergency relief—Heed’s pandemic response reached over 2,000 people—so every contribution directly builds skills, confidence and healthier lives.
