About Me

Hello, I’m Maruti Kalel, 23 years old.
I am totally blind, but I believe that strength comes from the mind and heart, not just from what we see. I like staying active, learning new things, and pushing myself a little more every day.

This year, I’m proud to be a visually impaired participant running with Heed India. For me, running is a way to stay motivated, independent, and connected to the world around me. It reminds me that every step taken with confidence is a victory.

Appeal

I’m running the 6 km Dream Run at the Tata Mumbai Marathon with Heed India.

I chose to run because it gives me a sense of freedom and purpose. Even though I am totally blind, I believe that determination can take you anywhere. Running helps me prove to myself—and hopefully to others—that challenges don’t stop us from dreaming big.

By supporting my run, you support a cause that works for inclusion, guidance, and opportunities for visually impaired runners like me. Your encouragement means more than you can imagine.
