My heartfelt gratitude for the education I was given. It has transformed my life, providing me with a level of comfort and opportunity that stands in stark contrast to the challenges faced by children growing up in rural communities.

Fundraising is not my forte, but this is my attempt to break my own limitations for a cause I truly believe in. Every little bit counts.

Support rural education because the next great invention won't come from a Silicon Valley garage—it'll come from a village classroom, if we just give it a blackboard. This is also a way forward to build next generation of Bharat.

Isha Vidhya is a part of Isha’s social outreach programs, Isha Vidhya rural schools provide high-quality, English-medium education to rural children who cannot otherwise access or afford it.

Isha Vidhya is a pioneering education initiative that seeks to transform the lives of India’s rural poor. It was established in 2006 (under the umbrella of Isha Education trust) towards building an India where high-quality school education is accessible and affordable to all, especially for rural underprivileged children.

Isha Vidhya’s 9 rural schools in Tamil Nadu (in the districts of Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tuticorin, Nagercoil and Karur ), serve over 8900 rural children, from kindergarten to 12th Standard. 63% of the students – most of whom are first-generation learners – are supported by scholarships. The rest pay a subsidized fee.

The holistic, activity-based approach nurtures children’s development beyond just academics, ensuring that students realize their full potential and learn in a joyful manner. Through Isha Vidhya, rural children are empowered to create a life which goes beyond their current social and economic situations.
