Sponsors are encouraged to support a student for the entire duration of education at Isha Vidhya. Even nominal fees are too much for some rural families. Recognizing this challenge, Isha Vidhya provides scholarships, which cover students’ tuition fee, notebooks and textbooks. This allows children who would otherwise only be able to study in govt. schools, to get a high quality education in Isha Vidhya schools. | ||||||

| Project Description | Remedial Support to slow learners Since we are targeting the poorest of the poor, who have faced generational hardships, many families have experienced complete illiteracy. Poverty is so severe that many suffer from serious nutritional deficiencies, which have significantly compromised their learning abilities in early childhood. • To address this, we are providing additional teachers in early classes to offer more individualized attention. This is the only way these students can be mainstreamed, as expecting them to catch up with the standard curriculum is unrealistic since they struggle to cope. • If we do not address their learning gaps in the early stages, it will be challenging for them to succeed in higher classes. Most schools do not tackle this issue, and in urban or elite private schools, parents often provide academic support at home. However, rural parents are neither equipped to offer such support nor able to afford external help, such as tuition. Only schools like ours can uplift this segment of students. | ||||||

By providing at least one tasty and nutritious meal to these kids, we will able to address two issues – children’s health and motivating parents to send their child to school. | ||||||

| Impact | Digital Classroom: Our children are exposed to carefully select digital content screened by our Central Academic team. The digital content is interactive and allows children to learn at their own pace. The methods used here also improve the teachers’ own methods of teaching in regular classes. This extensive use of interactive methods & digital contents in our schools enables an effective learning experience for our students. Water Equipment: In Schools it is always necessary to create clean and hygiene environment. Access to clean drinking water promotes good health and hygiene practices among students and staff. By ensuring the availability of purified water, RO plants contribute to the overall well-being of the school community We installed RO Water plant in our school to accommodate the growing strength of our students. Library Books: We have an active reading program where children from Class 2 to 12, are using our libraries set up in our rural schools, which helps the child get a better understanding about the subject and also improve the language. Other infratructure items such as School Saftey equipment & Transport Accessories is required for the smoothening operation of the school | ||||||
