Appeal
Hi, I’m Nishant, and this year I’m running the Tata Mumbai Marathon with a purpose that goes far beyond the race.
Education has always been close to my heart. Growing up, I saw how a single teacher, mentor, or encouraging environment could completely change a child’s confidence. But I also saw the inequality-how many children don’t get the same opportunities simply because of where they are born.
When I came across Bhumi, something clicked instantly. Their model is beautiful: young volunteers stepping into classrooms, not just to teach, but to inspire. Children who once struggled to keep up begin to love learning. Volunteers who want to create change actually become the change. It showed me that real transformation happens when communities come together.
That’s why I decided to dedicate my marathon run to Bhumi’s cause. Every kilometre I run is a reminder that privilege can be shared, opportunity can be created, and futures can be reshaped—if we choose to step up.
Bhumi’s impact is real and measurable: thousands of children receiving quality education, youth gaining leadership skills, and communities growing stronger. Their work is not charity—it’s empowerment. It’s dignity. It’s hope.
