About Me
Hi! My name is Akkshita Keswani, and I’m a student at Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
For the 1st time in my life, I’m running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to support the Jai Vakeel Foundation, an organisation I volunteer with every week.
Jai Vakeel supports neurodivergent children and adults through education, therapy, and vocational training, helping them lead more independent and fulfilling lives. The students are some of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve met — always welcoming, full of laughter, and eager to connect.
Running for Jai Vakeel is my way of giving back to a community that inspires me every single day. I hope to raise funds and awareness to support their incredible work and help build a more inclusive world for everyone.
Appeal
I chose to run for Jai Vakeel because their work goes beyond support — it’s about helping every student discover confidence and self-expression.
In a country where thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities still struggle to access basic therapy and education, nearly 1 in every 50 people live with an intellectual disability, many from lower-income families who lack the resources for consistent care.
Jai Vakeel stands as a source of hope and opportunity.
Through this marathon, I hope to raise funds that will help Jai Vakeel continue their incredible work in providing education, therapy, and vocational training for neurodivergent individuals.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping them keep changing lives every single day.
I’d love for you to join me in supporting Jai Vakeel’s mission and be part of creating a more inclusive world — one step, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time.
Thank you :)
