About Me
Hi! I’m Amaira Agrawal, a 16 year old student at the Bombay International School, Mumbai. This is my first time running in the Tata Mumbai Marathon and I’m super excited to raise funds for a cause I’m passionate about. I took up running as a sport this year and it makes me immensely happy that through this marathon I can help someone just by pursuing something I love. This run is just one of many, and I hope to partake in many such more events.
Appeal
I chose this NGO because I feel it is an opportunity for me to recognise my privilege and use it to help people. I strongly believe that access to food is a basic human right, and the fact that there are so many children out there who suffer major health disadvantages because they are not fortunate enough to take care of themselves, breaks my heart. I’ve been blessed enough to be born in a family that has been able to ensure my health and wellbeing but Annam is changing the luck of even those who are not as lucky. Annam is committed to erasing child malnourishment by providing healthy foods to kids and expecting mothers; and their commitment to this cause has inspired me to raise funds via what I love the most—running.
