More than 50% of child mortality occurs below the age of 5 years and is attributed to malnourishment. Annam's vision is to have a world where no child is
undernourished. Annam provides natural, nutritious food supplements to undernourished children and expecting mothers, with the aim of helping them
overcome their poor state of nutrition. We address nutrition deficiencies through healthy foods like banana, boiled eggs, milk, lassi, peanut, chana, Shakti Bite and Shakti Bhakri our healthy chikki and bhakri. Our projects are based in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Karnataka.

Appeal

Annam is a non-government organization working towards eradicating malnutrition in India. Our mission at Annam is to create a world where no child is malnourished.
We invite you to partner with us in achieving our mission to fight malnutrition in children and expectant mothers.
Malnutrition is a major concern in India, with millions of children under five years of age lacking access to proper nutrition. This not only affects their health but also causes long-term developmental issues that hinder their growth and opportunities. Our programs and projects aim to provide a nutritious supplementary diet to these children, increase awareness about the importance of proper nutrition, and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
You can support us by providing corporate social responsibility funds that will help us expand our programs, increase our reach, and make a tangible difference in the lives of our beneficiaries. Your support can also help us conduct research, awareness campaigns, and provide training to volunteers and teachers who work with these children.
By partnering with us, you can make a significant impact and improve the lives of those in need. We assure you that every penny of your donation will go towards helping the children who need it the most.
To make a donation, please visit our website at www.annam.org.in or allow us to make a presentation in person. We appreciate any support you can provide, no matter how big or small. Your generosity means the world to us and the children and expectant mothers we serve.

Total funds raised in 2025 - INR 2040500
Project Name1. Hospital Nutrition Project, 2. Pregnant Women Nutrition Support, 3. St. Matthew's School Nutrition Program
Amount Utilized (INR)2040500
Project DescriptionOur nutrition initiatives are making a measurable impact across vulnerable communities in Mumbai by addressing critical gaps in daily nourishment for children and pregnant women.
1) Hospital Nutrition Project
We are providing regular nutritional support to 3,218 children (ages 5–14) suffering from life-threatening diseases such as cancer and tuberculosis at Tata, Wadia, KEM, JJ, and Sion hospitals. Nutritious foods like eggs, bananas, chikki, milk, and lassi, distributed 2–3 times a week, are helping boost immunity, energy, and recovery rates.
2) Pregnant Women Nutrition Support
We support 85 pregnant women, aged 20–35, in Ganesh Murti Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Colaba Aara, who lack access to proper prenatal nutrition. Weekly distributions of bananas, milk, and chikki are promoting healthier pregnancies and fetal development, reducing risks for both mother and child.
3) St. Matthew’s School Nutrition Program
At St. Matthew’s High School in Malwani, we provide supplemental nutrition to 1,259 students, including 1,209 from Classes 1–7 and 40 boxing trainees. For many, this is their main source of nourishment. Daily bananas for all and eggs for the boxing children have resulted in significant improvements in growth, strength, and classroom performance.
