About Me

Hi, I’m Anand, a Software Developer at Tata Consultancy Services.

My journey with Touching Lives Welfare Trust began through a friend who is a mentor there. She often shared stories of the children she taught — bright, curious minds from the Foundation, Beginners, Transit, and Dream Project batches — each one carrying dreams bigger than their circumstances. Her stories stirred something within me, and I decided to get involved.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer during student examinations, helping children clear their doubts, and to accompany mentors on community visits. Those moments changed me. Seeing the children’s enthusiasm, their eagerness to learn despite limited means, and the love the mentors shared so freely — it reminded me that education is not just about books, it’s about nurturing hearts and building hope.

Touching Lives believes in learning and healing as the foundation of transformation. They help children not just gain knowledge but also confidence, self-awareness, and emotional strength — enabling them to discover their purpose and potential.

As someone working in the corporate world, I often wonder about my larger impact on society. Volunteering with Touching Lives made me realize that real change happens when we connect, one human being to another, and share what we have — time, empathy, or resources — with those who need it most.

Appeal

There are moments when we wish to do something meaningful — something that creates ripples beyond ourselves. This is one of those moments.

The children at Touching Lives dream of becoming doctors, artists, teachers, and changemakers. They have the will to learn; they just need the means. Your small act of giving can make that possible.
