About Me

Namaskaram everyone,
My name is Akshay Shinde, and I’m excited (and humbled) to share that I’ll be running at Tata Mumbai Marathon on 18 January 2026. I’ve chosen to run not just for personal challenge, but for a cause close to my heart: educating under-privileged rural children in India. I’m partnering with Isha Vidhya, the rural education initiative of Isha Education Trust, which works to bring quality English-medium, computer-aided schooling, nutritious meals and holistic development to children who otherwise would have very limited access to such opportunities.
With eight years of professional experience as a software developer, I’ve seen how education, digital skills and opportunity can change lives. I want to use this marathon as a vehicle to channel support and hope for children in rural India
