My involvement with Touching Lives (TL) began in 2021 when I started as a dedicated mentor. Over these three years, I haven't just watched children learn; I've witnessed a core truth: every child holds immense, vibrant potential. Yet, I also realized many of these remarkable young minds were holding back, constrained by burdens and fears they didn't know how to address.
This is precisely where Touching Lives shines. They offer more than just a service; they provide a selfless platform for genuine growth. This starts with education, which immediately breaks down barriers, but it extends far beyond academics.
Their approach is truly holistic. They equip these children not only with knowledge but also with crucial healing modalities that help them manage stress, process emotions, and thrive in daily life. This is resilience taught in practice. Furthermore, their impact ripples outward to the families. Touching Lives creates a necessary and safe space for parents, giving them a platform to express their inner fears and, critically, to reconnect with the talents that may have been suppressed over time. By nurturing the parents, they strengthen the entire family foundation.
My long-term commitment is rooted in the fact that TL is dedicated to nurturing the whole person the student, the sibling, and the parent. It’s an investment in holistic empowerment, and that's why I proudly support their mission.
Appeal
I'm running the Tata Mumbai Marathon not just to push my own physical limits, but to be a part of a powerful movement for change. I've chosen to dedicate my miles to Touching Lives Welfare Trust because their mission goes beyond basic education they focus on Learning and Healing as twin pillars of a child's growth.
For children growing up in vulnerable communities in Mumbai, challenges often run deep, impacting their emotional well-being as much as their academics. I believe in an approach that sees the whole child. Touching Lives is unique because they focus on breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and trauma by providing holistic support.
