About Me
Hi, I’m Siddhesh Raykar.
I come from a humble home in Kharadi, Pune. Growing up, I watched them work tirelessly to give me a better life, and their strength has always been my biggest inspiration.
I was born with a 54% locomotor disability, but I’ve never let it define me. Life has been challenging, but I’ve faced them with determination and hope.
I’ve always loved learning, exploring new ideas and solving problems. I believe that with the right opportunity, I can achieve newer heights.

Fuel My Next Milestone: Running at the Tata Mumbai Marathon
I’m Siddhesh Raykar, and I come from a modest home in Kharadi, Pune. I’ve come a long way — but my journey is still on.
I was born with a 54% locomotor disability, and grew up watching my father work as a barber and my mother as a tailor — both working hard to make ends meet and give me a better life. Life wasn’t easy, but I never gave up. I drew strength from my parents, who faced every challenge with courage and love.
I’ve always had a spark — a deep love for learning and problem-solving. I believed that if I just got the right opportunity, I could build a life of dignity and independence.
That opportunity came when I discovered TRRAIN’s Pankh training programme on social media. The programme helps youth with disabilities like me gain job-ready skills and the confidence needed for a better future.
When I joined the training centre in Wagholi, Pune, I gave it my all. I was curious, disciplined, and eager to learn. My favourite subject was Retail Maths, and I enjoyed every interactive session that helped me grow — not just in skills, but in self-belief.
Over time, my confidence grew, my communication improved, and I became more independent. My parents, who had quietly worried about my future, began to see a new light in me — a sense of purpose and pride.
After completing the programme, I was placed as a Customer Associate at a leading apparel store in Pune, earning ?13,800 per month. The first thing I did with my salary was give it to my mother. She cried tears of joy — it was the moment she had been waiting for.
Today, I live independently in Pune, managing my job, home, and dreams on my own. Every morning, I set out for work with confidence — proof that with the right support, determination, and opportunity, disability does not define destiny.
Now, I have a new dream.
I wish to visit Mumbai — the city of dreams — to participate in the “Champions with Disabilities” run at the iconic Tata Mumbai Marathon.
This run is not just a race for me. It’s a symbol of how far I’ve come — and how far I still have to go.
I need your support to make this dream come true — to help with my travel and stay in Mumbai, and to give back to TRRAIN, the NGO that stood by me during my hour of need.
Your contribution will help me achieve one more milestone — running not just for myself, but for every person with a disability who dreams beyond their circumstances and wants to make a mark in this world.
