About Me

This year, I’m proud to be running the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 in support of Muktangan Education Trust — an organization that has reimagined education as a force of empowerment, equality, and hope. Muktangan’s model is simple yet revolutionary: it trains women from marginalized communities to become confident, skilled teachers and provides quality, inclusive education to children who might otherwise be left behind. What moves me most about Muktangan is how deeply human their approach is — built on compassion, collaboration, and courage.
In the words of one of their teachers, “I found my voice in Muktangan.” Another shared, “I always feared speaking up, but here, I learned that learning never ends.” These aren’t just quotes — they are windows into the transformation Muktangan makes possible. Behind every confident teacher is a story of a woman who broke barriers. Behind every smiling student is a story of opportunity and belonging. Muktangan believes that true change happens when education empowers both the child and the educator — creating a ripple effect that touches families, communities, and generations to come.
By contributing to my run, you’re not just supporting an NGO — you’re investing in a vision where every child learns with joy, every woman teaches with pride, and every community grows stronger together. Each donation, no matter how small, helps keep this beautiful cycle of learning alive. Together, let’s take a step — or in my case, many — toward a more equal, educated future.

Appeal

Hi, I’m Aryavir, a grade 11 IBDP student at Hill Spring International School and I believe that real change begins with opportunity — the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to be heard. When I first learned about Muktangan, I was deeply inspired by their mission to redefine education in Mumbai’s low-income communities. Their model doesn’t just teach children; it uplifts entire families by empowering local women to become teachers, mentors, and leaders. It’s a cycle of empowerment where education fuels confidence, and confidence fuels change. I’m running this marathon because I want to be part of that change — to help ensure that more children get the chance to dream without limits and more women find confidence through education. Muktangan reminds us that when we invest in people, we don’t just change one life — we transform entire communities. So this January, every kilometer I run will be for them — for the teachers who dare to dream, for the children who dare to learn, and for the future we can build together.
