Hi, I’m Suraj Santosh Kahar, a football coach and Program Associate who works with children from under-resourced communities in Mumbai. I use sport as a tool to help kids build confidence, teamwork, and leadership — skills that go far beyond the field.

I’m passionate about creating opportunities where every child can learn, grow, and dream bigger. Running this marathon is my way of continuing that mission — taking small, steady steps toward big change.

This year, I’m running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to support Educo, an organization providing holistic 21st-century education to children from underprivileged families and strengthening Mumbai’s public education system.

This year, I am running the Tata Mumbai Marathon to support Educo, an organization working tirelessly to provide holistic 21st-century education to over 1,000 children from underprivileged families at Saibabapath Mumbai Public School, Lalbaug.

Educo not only runs this model school but also strengthens the municipal education system by training teachers and driving pedagogical transformation—ensuring children don’t just attend school, but truly learn and thrive. Their evidence-based solutions are improving student learning outcomes and creating long-term change in public education.
