About Me

I am a development professional with more than two decades of experience. I have invested more than 10 years of my professional life across 5 states of India on Foundational Learning and Numeracy and Early Childhood Education. In this regard, I have built capacity of educators in Anganwadis, Primary Schools and Child Care Institutions to improve quality of teaching learning process; engaged with functionaries in departments of Education and Women and Child Development at cluster, block and district level to improve learning environment in Anganwadis and Primary Schools; raised awareness and agency among parents and community members to improve access of children to anganwadis and primary schools.

Appeal

In the next 5 years, Vipla Foundation aims to
- Ensure at least 125,000 children in Maharshtra, Gujarat and Delhi attain foundational and grade level competencies in language and mathematics through Vipla Foundation's work in at least 500 government and municipal schools and 50 communities. (ASER 2024 revealed that nearly half of Grade V students in India are unable to read a Grade II-level text or solve basic arithmetic problems).
- Operate 'Special Care Centres' for at least 500 Hearing Impaired and Intellectually disabled children.
Special Care Centre is an institute for children with intellectual disabilities and hearing impairment. Here we provide academic, functional, vocational skills and a wide range of co-curricular & extra-curricular activities that are integral components of holistic development along with nutrition and transportation from their homes.

We need at least 40 crores in the next 5 years to be useful and make meaning in the life of vulnerable children.
