About Me

My name is Surabhi Lavangare, and I am a Company Secretary by profession with a strong commitment to ethical governance and organizational integrity. I also serve as an External POSH Committee Member for an Indian private company, where I contribute to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, I believe in contributing to the growth and betterment of society through active community engagement. I am associated with Udayan Care NGO under the Udayan Shalini Fellowship (USF) program, where I mentor and guide young women, helping them shape their aspirations and build a brighter future.

Appeal

My appeal to you is to donate to the 'Shalini Empowerment Loan Fund' (SELF).
We have 500+ underserved girls in Mumbai, whom we call ‘Shalini’s’ (an empowered woman in Sanskrit). We nurture them to become confident, responsible, and career-ready individuals through a five-year skill-building journey with us.

As a volunteer and workshop facilitator, I, Surabhi, have had the privilege to connect with these girls personally guiding them, sharing experiences, and watching them grow with every session. Their enthusiasm and resilience inspire me deeply.

I have put forth my plea to raise funds through TMM to support the graduation and post-graduation education of these girls through the interest-free loan fund (SELF - Shalini Empowerment Loan Fund) created from your contributions.

The need for support has increased as specialized graduation courses are now much more expensive than regular ones.

The funds raised will help provide interest-free loans to cover part of their education fees, ensuring these deserving girls can pursue their dreams without financial stress.
